Maverick Jensen asked: Chest hair removal for men is particularly common during the summer months when men find that their body hair causes sweating and may seem very unattractive. Most women do not find the whole hair chest and medallion look attractive and seeing a man with chest hair appearing over the top of his shirt collar could easily dampen any potential attraction.
So what hair removal system is the best to use to get rid of chest hair? Waxing chest hair is a popular option but it can be expensive and time consuming. You can of course buy a waxing kit and do it yourself at home but having to wax any part of your own body is difficult and the results you get are often less than satisfactory. In order to get the best results you may have to enlist the help of a friend or partner. The results will depend on their skill level as will the ‘ouch’ factor. You can go to a salon and have a professional hot wax but not every man is comfortable entering what is seen as a woman’s domain. Waxing could lead to painful in-growing hairs and, as you have to grow the hair to a certain length before having treatment, it is not the best option for everyone.
Laser hair removal is an option but it is too expensive for most budgets. Although it has been sold as the permanent method, it really depends on your skin tone, the structure of your hair and the amount of it as to whether it will give permanent results or not. It is likely to reduce the amount of hair you are dealing with but given the price and the time cost involved you may want to seek an alternative product.
Creams are great for chest hair removal as they can be used at home at your own convenience. They don’t have that chemical smell anymore either so nobody need know what you are doing. The cream can be applied to short hair and shouldn’t cause any reaction with your skin but you are recommended to do a patch test first. Don’t be tempted to leave the solution on for longer than recommended and never use it on broken skin or if you are suffering from a bout of zits. Your skin will be left silky and smooth and the results will last longer with each use.
Or course it isn’t only men that have to deal with chest hair removal, it can happen in women too. Creams work very well on female skin as well. If your chest hair is new, speak to your doctor as it could be a sign that you are suffering from an underlying medical condition. This could be upsetting your hormone levels and this is quite easily treated with medication.
